A re-elected Turnbull Coalition Government will invest $1 million to support the Exeter Community Precinct.
The Turnbull Coalition’s commitment to the Exeter Community Precinct will provide a centralised location for community services for residents of Exeter and the nearby towns including Blackwall, Deviot, Gravelly Beach, Lanena, Rosevears, Bridgenorth, Frankford and Glengarry.
This investment will bring council, library, sporting, recreation and community services together in one location.
It will increase the capacity and capability of the area, improve access to amenities and increase livability for residents.
This is a great initiative that has long been supported by local Member Eric Hutchinson, a tireless advocate for improved regional community infrastructure and services across the electorate of Lyons.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull congratulated Eric Hutchinson for his hard work and tireless advocacy.
“Eric Hutchinson is delivering for the people of Lyons,” said the Prime Minister.
“Together we are creating jobs and opportunities and ensuring Exeter and surrounding towns can realise their potential."
Mr Hutchinson has been working with West Tamar Council and community organisations to ensure the best outcomes for Lyons.
“This project will benefit so many in the West Tamar community, bringing residents and organisations together,” said Mr Hutchinson.
“I thank the efforts of Mayor Christina Holmdahl and everyone who has worked on the project.”
A Turnbull Liberal team is dedicated to building stronger communities across Tasmania and jobs and growth for local residents.
