About Tom

Tom Venning is the Liberal candidate for Grey.

He is part of a fifth-generation farming family from Bute.  

Tom is a farmer, an economist and an engineer.  

He has a real understanding of the challenges our rural communities face and will fight for our regions. 

Tom studied Economics and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Adelaide before gaining experience working in the finance sector. As a Business Strategy Consultant, he coordinated and dealt with governments and corporations, while never missing a harvest at home. 

After a successful corporate career, Tom returned home to farming. 

Tom has spoken with farmers, local businesses and community groups, from small towns to remote areas. He understands the issues locals care about.  

Tom is ready to be a strong voice for our regional, rural and remote South Australia’s communities.
