Fair Work Australia should clarify on Thomson’s denials

Given media reports, Fair Work Australia should today clarify whether documents have been sent to Craig Thomson in connection with their investigation into the Health Services Union following denials by Mr Thomson.

“Given Mr Thomson’s activities as the head of the Health Services Union is the principal matter that is under investigation, it would be unsurprising for Fair Work Australia to send him documents for his response,” Senator Abetz said.

“Mr Thomson’s comments that he hasn’t received any such documents despite Fair Work Australia saying they have sent them to him are concerning.”

“Fair Work Australia should clarify whether they have sent correspondence to Mr Thomson given his denials,” Senator Abetz concluded.
