About Jeremy

Jeremy Neal is the LNP candidate for Leichhardt.

Living in Cairns with his family, Jeremy and his wife, a Registered Nurse, are proud to call themselves Far North Queenslanders. With three boys attending school locally, they make the most of the tropical lifestyle they all enjoy.

Jeremy is currently serving as a Paramedic, having spent 15 years with the Queensland Ambulance Service. His time in the QAS has seen him work in Cairns, Mossman, Mareeba, Kuranda, Cooktown, and Bamaga.

Through his 15 years of service, Jeremy has seen both the good and the bad. While the region is a beautiful place to live, Jeremy sees many residents doing it tough.

He sees extended families cramming under one roof because they cannot find housing. He sees remote residents stuck in Cairns for healthcare they cannot access on the Cape.

When Jeremy is not on shift, his family faces challenges that many young families face. They understand how much extra it costs to feed a family now, worry about the next interest rate rise on their home loan, and know the expense of keeping the house cool in summer.

Jeremy wants to be part of a Federal Liberal National Government that focuses on the real issues facing Australians. He is ready to fight to make a difference on the important everyday issues faced by Far North Queenslanders.

Jeremy believes the Australia everyone wants is still within reach – it will just take some hard work to get there.
