About David

David Lamerton is the Liberal candidate for Bean.   

Born and raised in Toowoomba, QLD, David moved to Canberra with the Army more than 10 years ago to study at ADFA.  

David and his wife fell in love with Weston Creek and Tuggeranong, which they now call home. They are proud parents to three young children, ranging from daycare-aged to primary school.

Including 10 years in uniform, David has dedicated his entire working life to Australia’s national security in the Federal Public Service, with a particular interest in the Pacific.

The Territory election showed that Bean voters want fresh, energetic representation and someone who will stand up to put the community back on the map.

Labor has taken this electorate for granted for too long, assuming votes are guaranteed.

Bean deserves a representative who will demand action on the issues that matter – cost of living, safe communities and borders, and a better future for families.

This starts with more affordable homes and cheaper energy.
