We will stop Labor’s assault on aspiration by axing every one of Labor’s toxic taxes, introducing the Tax Back Guarantee, and backing small businesses.
Labor’s Budget is an assault on aspiration, and under Labor, the cost of everything is going up. Anthony Albanese’s broken promises on capital gains, trusts, and negative gearing mean all Australians pay more.
Australians are paying the price for Labor’s reckless energy and emissions policies.
Under Labor, power prices are far too high. We will scrap Net Zero and make Australia an energy superpower. We will deliver cheaper power and energy abundance.
The Liberals and Nationals will cut migration and raise standards, while keeping migration below the number of new homes built.
To free-up housing stock and to begin to restore the dream of home ownership, we will cap immigration numbers based on available housing.
We will overhaul our skilled migration program, bringing in the people with the skills that businesses desperately need.
Because of Labor’s out-of-control spending, Australians are paying more for everything due to high inflation and our debt has hit $1 trillion for the first time.
We will establish a Future Generations Fund to pay down Labor’s trillion dollars of debt and invest in long-lasting, nation-building infrastructure – roads, ports, energy and water.
Our team is hard at work developing policies to benefit you and your family.
Our first job is to keep you safe. The world is more dangerous now. So we will build a strong defence force that can act fast and hit hard. We will deliver AUKUS. We will guard our borders. And we will keep our streets safe from crime, terror and foreign threats.
Families know what works for them. So we will give them choice. In childcare, we will back what suits each family, not just one type. In health, we will focus on you and your whole-of-life health. In aged care, we will give respect, care and dignity — and better value for taxpayers.
Every child deserves a great education. We will get the basics right: reading, writing, maths and going to school. We will be honest about how kids are doing. And we will back trades and training, not just university. That way, every young person is ready for a good job and a good life.
Work is the best way out of hardship. It gives people dignity. So we will reward those who work and try. We will let people earn more before their payments drop. We will back work and families over long-term welfare. No Australian should have to beg to get help.
We stand for national confidence. We are proud of our country: our history, our values and the things that unite us. We back the enterprise of our people. And we expect those who come here to embrace our way of life.
Australia is stronger when our regions are strong. Regional Australia fuels, feeds and powers our nation and drives exports. We will back the towns, councils and industries that create secure jobs: with better roads, services, manufacturing, childcare and connectivity. We will establish a $20 billion Regional Australia Future Fund, protect the Murray–Darling Basin, and end Labor’s water buybacks that strip water from farms and towns.

Today is the 25th anniversary of the start of Operation Slipper – the Australian Defence Force’s first declared mission in Afghanistan in what would be our longest war.
For twenty years, under Operation Slipper and Operation Highroad, Australian warfighters helped to deny the terrorists a safe haven, to foil al-Qa’ida, to bring its leadership to justice, and to prevent further terrorist attacks from being carried out around the world and on our soil. It was right for our nation to join the war on terror.
More than 35,000 men and women of the Australian Defence Force bravely served in Afghanistan. Many still bear the wounds of their service, seen and unseen. Tragically, 47 Australians were killed.
On this anniversary, my thoughts and deep gratitude are with all those who served in Afghanistan, and especially with the families of those Australians who made the ultimate sacrifice. Your service made a difference. Your service made our nation and the world safer.
Five years after the war in Afghanistan, Islamist extremism remains a civilisational threat. It has evolved since 9/11, taken many forms, and been called many things. But it is still Islamist extremism. And we must continue to fight it with resolve – both at home and around the world with our allies and partners. And fight it we will, because we love life more than the terrorists love death.
My commitment to Australians is to keep out and root out Islamist extremism. We will protect our way of life. We remain committed to thwarting terrorism, inspired by the spirit and service of our veterans of Afghanistan.

Unlike Labor, I don’t believe government is about wielding power.
It’s about empowering its citizens.
Indeed, life is about service and responsibility – about doing something for the greater good.
My grandfather taught me that.
He was the chief engineer of the Snowy Mountains Hydro Scheme at a time when every dam and tunnel came in ahead of time and below budget.
More than anything, I believe in hard work.
That’s what growing up on a farm within a multi-generational farming family teaches you.
And I tell you what else it teaches you:
You’ve got to know the value of every single dollar.
Every dollar matters.
No dollar can be wasted.
You’ve got to budget for every drum of drench. Every fence post. Every trip to the market.
On the farm, you must account for every single dollar.
And that’s the mentality you need whether you’re managing a farming budget or a federal budget.
