Biography

As part of a grazing family, Susan McDonald has a deep understanding of regional Queensland and the challenges facing our farmers.

Raised in Cloncurry, Susan attended Mt Isa School of the Air before completing her education in Brisbane. A registered accountant and mum to three teenagers, she is also the Managing Director of Super Butcher retail group.

Susan is passionate about ensuring a bright future for regional Queensland and is especially focused on ensuring regional students get the best possible educational opportunities.

As a Senator, Susan would be based in Townsville, while travelling extensively across the state to ensure local communities are listened to and have their needs addressed.

A free COVID-19 vaccine will be available progressively throughout 2021 in Australia commencing in January, if promising trials prove successful, following a $1.7 billion supply & production agreement between the Australian Government & pharmaceutical companies.
