About Jim

Jim Rishworth is the Liberal candidate for Kingston.

Jim, his wife Kate, and their two daughters, live locally in Hallett Cove.

Jim began his working life as a welder at Holden. He worked his way up through various public and private sector roles, and is now General Manager of a South Australian construction company.

Over his extensive 30+ year career, Jim knows how to identify problems and implement solutions. 

He doesn’t want to stand by and watch this Labor government continue to weaken our economy and country. He is frustrated by the government’s waste and inefficiency, while Australians struggle to afford everyday items.

As a father of young adults, he wants his daughters, and all Australians, be able to afford a home.

He wants to see a return to common sense on energy policy – one that prioritises affordability and reliability rather than ideology.

And having watched loved ones struggle with their health and mental health, he wants to see more support and a better health system for those that need it most.

Jim is ready to make a difference. Jim wants to use his experience to benefit his local area, his state, and our country.
