Stop Union Thuggery

Law-breaking unions can increase the cost of building hospitals, schools and roads by up to 30%. These unnecessary costs delay critical infrastructure and are ultimately costs that are borne by Australian taxpayers.

Currently, officials of unions and employer groups can retain their position even when they repeatedly break the law or commit serious criminal offences, which is completely out of step with community expectations.

And our current laws just don’t deter militant unions like the CFMMEU – racking up 2,000 breaches and over $16 million in penalties over the last 15 years.

So why would Labor stand in the way of making sure we can build affordable critical infrastructure?
