Stop Shorten’s New Car Tax

Bill Shorten’s new car tax would increase the cost of Australia’s most popular cars.

The majority of the most popular cars currently sold in Australia would not meet Labor’s reckless vehicle emissions targets. Vehicle prices would increase by up to $5,000.

Here’s a list of cars that would be hit by Shorten’s new car tax:

  • Ford Ranger 4x4
  • Holden Colorado 4X4
  • Honda CR-V
  • Hyundai i30
  • Hyundai Tucson
  • Kia Cerato
  • Kia Sportage
  • Mazda 3
  • Mazda CX-3
  • Mazda CX-5

and the list goes on...

  • Mitsubishi ASX
  • Mitsubishi Outlander
  • Mitsubishi Triton 4x4
  • Nissan X-Trail
  • Toyota Camry
  • Toyota Corolla
  • Toyota Hilux 4x4
  • Toyota Landcruiser
  • Toyota Prado
  • Toyota RAV4
  • Volkswagen Golf
