Liberal Party appoints Acting Federal Director

As the current Federal Director, Tony Nutt, is standing down from his position on 5 May, the Liberal Party has today appointed Mr Andrew Bragg, currently the Director of Policy and Research at the Menzies Research Centre, to the position of Acting Federal Director from 8 May.

Andrew Bragg is well-equipped to manage the Federal Secretariat while the Party recruits a new Federal Director. He has performed senior management roles in the private sector and has been an active member of the Liberal Party in Victoria and New South Wales for over 15 years, as a staffer to a Federal MP and as a member of city and regional branches, conferences and State Councils.

This appointment will enable the Party to undertake the necessary administrative arrangements to make a permanent appointment in due course.

Liberal Party Federal President Richard Alston said, “On behalf of all members of the Liberal Party across Australia we welcome Andrew Bragg and offer our thanks to Tony Nutt for his decades of outstanding service to the Party and the nation. Tony will always have a very special place in the Liberal pantheon.”
