Biography

Darcy Dunstan is the Liberal candidate for Corangamite.

Darcy is a tradie, a soldier, and a dad.

Before joining the Australian Defence Force at the age of 21, Darcy finished his carpentry apprenticeship, worked as a chippy, and built his own house in his spare time.

After joining the Army, Darcy worked as a diver before being selected to join the elite Special Air Services Regiment. Darcy received a commendation for distinguished service while deployed to Iraq in 2021 with the SAS.

Now, Darcy is raising his 14-month-old daughter with his fiancée, a local GP, while running his own small business.

His deep desire to serve his community and nation has led him to put up his hand to represent Corangamite in Parliament.

If he is elected at the next election, he will work hard to deliver real cost of living relief, and to make home ownership affordable.

Darcy's dedication to service began living with an Indigenous community in the centre of Australia for two years, where his family helped local Aboriginal elders and youth.

More recently he has volunteered to protect black rhinos from poachers in Africa, organised and led a crew of special forces veterans to compete in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race for charity, and volunteered as a surf lifesaver. Now, he volunteers with the local CFA.

Darcy also plays football for the Modewarre Football Club and is also a member of his local RSL.
