"Only millionaires drive Taragos" - Senator Kim Carr

Innovation and Industry Minister Senator Kim Carr today highlighted how out of touch Labor is with reality over their luxury car tax grab when he asserted in Senate Question Time, in response to an Opposition Question, that only the wealthy will be hit by this tax.

Senator Carr said:

“This of course will have an impact on higher income earners…the opposition once again demonstrates that it is committed to ensuring the wealthier are millionaires.”

Memo to Senator Carr: a mid-range people-mover, such as the Toyota Tarago, will be hit by this 30 percent tax increase.
