Since its inception in 1944, the Liberal Party has been largely funded by donations from a wide cross section of the community in Australia. Without donations, the Party will be unable to continue its crucial role in supporting the democratic processes of the nation.

Political parties need funding to undertake wide-ranging research and to develop policies for debate and consideration by Parliaments. Parties provide form and structure to democratic processes to enable the bringing together of the views of like-minded people in our community, and to facilitate the most effective means of presentation of such views. The Australian democracy we know would surely be much the poorer without political parties.

If you would like to make a donation, we would be most grateful for your support. Donations can be made by either:

• Credit card (Mastercard, Visa or Amex) by phoning the Liberal Party's Federal Secretariat on (02) 6273 2564 or faxing details including your name and address, card no. and expiry date) to (02) 6273 1534.


• Cheque payable to the Liberal Party of Australia, posted to PO Box 6004 Kingston ACT 2604. Please ensure you include your name and address.

Amounts received by the Federal Secretariat of more than $10,500 will be subject to disclosure under the provisions of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918. This disclosure limit is currently under review by the Federal Government.
