We recognise that women are interested in many issues and the forums will be about issues that women want to see addressed: availability of paid work, training, access to healthcare, carer support, childcare, tackling the scourge of violence and drugs in our society, or the need for more community facilities for families.
Our Coalition philosophy of equal opportunity for all provides the foundation for wide-ranging discussion on these key questions:
- Paid Parental Leave
- The best childcare options
- Early childhood education options
- How do we help women balance their work and family lives?
- How do we increase workplace flexibility?
- How can we close the gender pay gap?
- What practical and effective ways can we address violence, criminal and drug abuse?
- How do we best deliver key services of healthcare and quality education?
- What programs are available for the most disadvantaged, including Indigenous women?
- What measures are available to assist women in small business and women in rural areas?
- How do we help the aging population and provide real help and recognition for carers?
- How can foreign aid be better used to improve the standard of living for women in developing countries, especially child and maternal health?
