Dean Mighell: there will be blood
18/08/10
“I think you will see a lot of bloodletting after the election within the ranks of Labor” – Dean Mighell, Electrical Trades Union Victorian Secretary
One of the Union movement’s chief hatchet men has predicted bloodshed in the wake of a Labor win, boding ill for the Australian economy, Australian jobs, and Australia’s security.
Dean Mighell, who shot to infamy as the Labor Left’s chief head kicker and fell from grace when he was brutally backstabbed by his own party in a textbook ALP coup, has made the ominous prediction on Melbourne’s 3AW this morning.
Mitchell:
Oh, who’s going to have their head chopped off next?
Mighell:
...I think there’ll be, you know, the New South Wales right will be targeted. There’ll be elements within that and some major unions that played a role in it might also suffer a bit of review as well.
What Dean Mighell reveals is that a vote for Labor is a vote for more instability, more soap operas, and more dramatic coups.
Labor Governments are inherently unstable because of this very propensity toward factional strife. Australia can’t afford to have the Federal Government infected with NSW Labor’s disease.
The only jobs Labor cares about are their own. In constrast, Tony Abbott leads a united team standing up to end the waste, repay the debt, stop the taxes, stop the boats and help families.
