Many regions have experienced strong growth in recent years, whether from the mining boom or the growing influence of the sea-change/tree-change phenomenon. Rapid economic and population growth has generated many opportunities for regional communities through increased employment, investment and contribution to society.
The Rudd Government has struggled to keep pace with this development while State and Territory Labor governments have been unwilling or unable to help.
