The Liberal Party has a strong record of supporting women during the many stages of their life. We recognise that Australian women have differing needs in relation to education, families, work and retirement.
The Advancing Women Initiative is a nation-wide movement to ensure women from all aspects of Australian life are given the opportunity to participate in the political process and have a say on the policies that shape the future of our nation.
Advancing Women ensures women from all aspects of Australian life have the chance to participate in the political process. It gives women a direct say in the Coalition policies that will shape the future of our nation.
The Coalition has a strong tradition of championing the issues that concern Australian women. Since Federation the Coalition has given women the vote, provided child endowment payments directly to mothers, improved workplace opportunities for women, enacted legislation to improve equal opportunity outcomes for women and created a baby bonus to be paid to mothers of newborn and adopted babies.
