Steve Irons is committed to helping local people and families and ready to build on the work he has already started within the community.
Steve grew up in a large family. His father was the local church minister and his mother a social worker at the hospital. His parents always instilled in Steve that investing in people from all walks of life was the key to building a strong local community.
A talented young footballer and now an experienced coach, Steve believes that teamwork is the key to success on any of life’s playing fields.
With 25 years experience in small business, Steve Irons understands the hard work that is required in order to succeed. Steve completed an Australian Apprenticeship after high school and, working his way up, later became general manager of a national air-conditioning business. There, he achieved record sales and went on to become the major shareholder and owner of the business.
As the Federal Member for Swan, Steve is determined to build on his strong commitment to the local community. Steve will ensure that our local schools receive important funding, that our roads are safe, that anti-crime initiatives are undertaken, and that our beautiful parklands and environmentally-sensitive areas are protected.
