Russell Matheson is well known as a campaigner for the community. He’s served 17 years on Campbelltown Council, including five years as Mayor.
He has fought strongly against Labor’s planning laws and the gas-fired power plant at Leafs Gully, Campbelltown.
Russell is a Sergeant in the NSW police force, with 23 years experience. As a police officer, he is in touch with what is happening in the community and important local issues. He understands people, listens to what they have to say and takes up their cause for them.
Russell has lived in Macarthur for most of his life. As a father of two daughters, Russell is determined to protect the unique way of life we enjoy in Macarthur.
