He has worked hard to achieve great outcomes for Canning knowing just how important it is to protect local jobs, build better schools, make our local roads safer and support initiatives that crack down on crime and vandalism. Don works hand in hand with the local community to achieve results on issues important to Canning residents to make the local area an even better place to live, work and raise a family.
Don understands Canning’s diversity. Canning is a unique place and Don continues to take up the challenge on behalf of the residents of its metropolitan suburbs, rural towns and farming communities. Don knows that the needs and issues affecting Canning localities vary. Growing up in the wheatbelt town of Merredin, Don understands the challenges facing rural communities and at the same time recognises the need to plan for the rapid growth of the Peel region.
Don lives up to his slogan; ‘You Talk, I’ll listen”. Don is well known in the local community as a hardworking, grass roots Member who fights to achieve great results for all local residents.
Don’s broad life experience as a father of two, a special needs teacher, local councillor, horse trainer and family business owner has equipped him to understand what needs to be done and to get results on issues that affect Canning residents.
